Can't figure out how to make content background flow :: Middle > Right

I'm stumped on a fancy background, that I have to do for work. The above shot, is a basic render of a design done for a website. The lightest element shows the width of the website (960px), and the other elements represent width: 100% baackground colours/images, with margin: 0 auto; width: 960px. The 2 darker elements need to flow off to the right, and not produce a horizontal scrollbar. I know how to easily do this when the element comes from Left > Middle, but I cannot work out how to do it for Middle > Right. Left > Middle looks like this: .banner .preview { display: block; float: right; width: 440px; } .banner .preview .inner { background: #666666; height: 240px; margin: 0 0 0 -9999px; overflow: hidden; padding: 0 0 0 9999px; width: 440px; } Raw Code » And no, unfortunately changing the -9999px/9999px for margin/padding from left to right doesn't work, so please don't just say that :) Any ideas? I've tried a few things, but I can't get it working nicely in all browsers/at all.

Envato Marketplace Buttons

So my question is - Am I missing any? This is for Patrik Larsson's Marketplace - Tips & Tricks #2. There are currently 25 buttons (obviously a lot are taken up by marketplaces themselves), but I'm wanting to know if I've missed any that envato authors might like to use? I'm currently using Icon Dock's icon set in the 24px size, so if you want to look at those and let me know if you'd like some, I'll make a concerted effort to get it done before I send these off to Patrik. Cheers!

Infinite Load on a HTML page?

Hi guys, I've been searching for awhile now, and I can't seem to find a way to have an infinite load page on just a normal .html page. I am able to find .php and .asp versions, but I'm looking to do this on just a plain, static page. Is this possible? Am I searching for the wrong thing?

Photo Overlays

I'm making indented-looking overlays for my new website design. Thinking about fading these between multiple images, depending on whether I have a lot of work to show, for one project. Tired of doing lightboxes and copyright elements over larger images, so I'm working on this new kind of style. Really liking it right now - what do you guys think?

How difficult was it for *you* to learn jQuery?

I'm really interested in understanding the fundamentals of jQuery, so that I might be able to edit existing, free, online snippets, and maybe even creating my own stuff. So my question - how difficult was it for you to learn jQuery? I currently have the book from SitePoint, "Simply JavaScript", and I'm finding it really hard to get through.

I just pushed my new website design live! Let me know what you think :)

#wrap {
	display: compact;
	width: 100%;
}

What the heck?

So I seemed to make this IE8 bug fix, which fixed sticky-footer and margin:0 auto; container, so that the container was actually sitting in the centre of the page. My question is - what the heck does display:compact; do?!

Just wanting to show off what I'm working on currently, as well as (finally) doing my first post on Forrst. Yay!
