Wordpress: List posts by day using custom fields and nested loops?!

I've tried to do this before & failed, Maybe I just don't understand how it work, maybe someone has done this before and can help me out. Building a website for a school with wordpress, they have classes for a subject and they list them via days of the week like so: #Monday - Maths - English - Science #Tuesday - Science #Wednesday - Maths - History When i'm building this, i'm using a custom post type called "classes", then i'm using custom post fields to input all the data, including when the class is, in time() format (Using a date picker) This is how i echo the date/time: `` Now, currently this is my loop: [GIST of Loop](https://gist.github.com/yratof/5851424) But it's not working at all, it's listing the days, but it'll list the day several times, so if there are 4 posts on wednesday, it'll list wednesday, wednesday, wednesday, wednesday. Which makes sense since it's just looping through the posts and echoing it's date. Basically, I'm trying to write: - loop days of the week 7 days ahead - loop posts under the date heading based on custom field date I was originally going to use scheduled posting for this, but scheduling posts in wordpress isn't the easiest for people who aren't computer literate, with custom fields, i'm able to style it & use the DATE PICKER that [TYPES](http://wordpress.org/plugins/types/) provides.

Bad Practice? SVG Logos with Fallback for IE

I've recently been pondering a way to get SVG's for all my logos that i use, but internet explorer 8 and below hate them. For this, i want a jpg fallback, why wouldn't you. if you're using an old browser, you get an old file format. So I started playing around with different ways of getting it to show, trial and error has brought me to this solution:

Scroll a website with jquery crank

I'm trying to grasp this idea that i've got. It might not be very practical in the long run, but the novelty of it will help me get my idea across on a micro site i'm creating for a charity ride to paris. I've got this idea of having a bike crankset on the page that you can manually rotate with your finger/mouse. UPDATE: I've build the crank so far that tracks the mouse position going around the 'cog'. But this solution won't work on devices, i need to click and drag the pedals around, rather than it follow the mouse. Does anyone have any idea on how this can be achieved?

Wordpress Nested loop: Loops twice instead of once

I'm trying to achieve this Author.php * Author Loop: * Posts loop * Hobbies loop * Schedule loop The author.php template file has the author loop. I need to loop through some custom post types for the author, then i'll put them into their own tabs. However, when I put a query inside the Authors loop, it loops twice & i can't figure out why. This is the loop(s) i'm using: Am I missing something that'll stop it from looping twice? --- ###Notes: I have to have these loops within the AUTHORS LOOP because they are specific to that author, i don't want STEVE's posts to show up on HARRY's page etc - There might be several authors added and removed throughout the sites life, so it has to be dynamic, i can include an author in the query

Link with hover dropdown menu for Mobile Devices

I've found an issue I just can't seem to solve. I've got a navigation, 5 links in total. One of the links has a dropdown menu when you hover over it showing 3 more links. Fine when a mouse is involved. But when you start using touch devices, the parent link consumes all gestures and taps, and the viewer is shown the dropdown for a fraction of a second before being taken to the parent's link page. I'm wondering if there's a way of making it so the first touch of the parent link shows the dropdown menu, then a second touch would go to that link. touching anything else would just hide the dropdown. `` ` Link` ` Link` ` Link` ` ` ` Sub Link` ` Sub Link` ` Sub Link` ` ` ` ` ` Link` ` Link` `` Anyone have any ideas? jQuery would be ideal

Can anyone get this working on iOS? navigation

So i saw this on dribbble this morning: Navigation and realised that i love the way it looks, and how it works, so i decided to make it and see what it's like. Now this is made from scratch Full Phat Test Folding Menu My issue is, it works lovely on Firefox. It works great on firefox / chrome (minus a few gradient opacity issues) But on ios? It doesn't work at all. My plan is to move this over to jquery so you can drag down the bar to reveal the navigation. But as it stands, it's a click and hold kind of thing at the moment, which means that if you touch on iOS, it does nothing. I've tried :hover, :active and neither of them want anything to do with it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? or should i just get it jqueried?

UX: Mobile Last ~ How would you change the layout of this section

Working backwards on this project, I decided to design The desktop Styles first, then work with the lowest size, then do the bits inbetween. However, ive found myself at a point where i'm not sure how to change the layout of a certain object on the page. Let me explain it: Working with wordpress, i've got two loops, one for the post titles, one for the post content. Then i've got them in a tab like layout, in which (with jquery) Clicking on the tab will show the content. That way, the client can have as many posts as she wants and it'll still look nice. Desktop ~ cl.ly/… However, when taking it down to mobile size, How would you lay it out differently? I've tried it at 100% width, but you don't know that the content changes because there isn't any feedback, it just selects the tab, and the content changes without you knowing. Mobile ~ cl.ly/… One way i could think, is to do it like it is, but make the page scroll down once the item is clicked on. But i'm not sure if this will mean scrolling madness, click scroll read scroll click scroll read etc. Does anyone have any ideas on how to tackle tabs & content in a mobile environment? &

Jquery Help: Changing the css of an element when you hover over something different

I'm wondering if there are any jquery artists out there who can help me out here, I'm trying to make it so when i hover over a link, it changes the CSS of a completely different element. For example, having 3 items <ul> <li>item one</li> <li>item two</li> <li>item three</li> </ul> and something outside of that in a new div, span or anything possible something like <div> <h1>SUPER MASSIVE TITLE </h1> <h2>SUPER Medium TITLE </h2> <h3>SUPER small TITLE </h3> </div> All those headings would have css of: opacity:0.2;, when i hover over list item 1, the <h1> changes it's css to: opacity:1; and so forth for the rest. Is this possible? Can anyone help?
