SemiPro Template

This is a new template I'm working on right now. I guess you can say it's for fun, but I plan on releasing it as a freebie on Geekius. My idea was to make a simple, yet modern age approach to personal sites.The colors used are quite bright but they blend with the site well. The background is changable with a different style/pattern. This, however, is still a concept I'm working up in my head. Not 100% sure how the final product will look. That is why I posted it here. I need help with the overall look and feel. What do you guys think of the current style? What is it missing? What should I add? Is the ribbon on the footer too much?
